it started with a desire to create a place where people felt like they could sit & stay awhile.

the north shore of Kaua’i is a truly magical place. we wanted to pay homage to our roots by cultivating an environment that captures our homes essence.

not the faux tropical, ultra touristy, synthesized version. the one that us locals love and perpetuate.

when you walk in, the hope is that you feel at home.

and we feel so damn lucky to share our home with you.

what we are about

  • above all else, we are here for you. long conversation, hugging, laughing, crying, and laughing again are all part of the haven’s DNA

  • premium grade ingredients are a given here. we spend lots of time sourcing our products from small farms, always prioritizing local.

  • there’s magic in simple. life is hard enough- lets make the sipping easy.

  • humans are a pack species. the haven is a watering hole for commune to take place.

who the f#@% is Brü

This little guy is our mascot! He is the haven personified. When you see Brü its a reminder to savor the moment, find connection, and live it TF up!

Hi, my name is Emmalani

I’m the founder of the haven!

I've been lucky enough to call Kaua’i my home my entire life. The Wainiha Country Market, where the haven is connected to, was my elementary school bus stop.

Its always been a passion of mine to create something special for our community. Alas, the haven was born.

Most days you can find me behind the bar making drinks for you lovely humans. Otherwise i’m most likely with my dog, Ziggy, either walking the beach or grabbing a Pau Hana drink with a friend. If you see me, say what’s up!
